The place of the battle of Karbala in Islam is known every Muslim and has more significance in the Islam religion. Karbala Background and Summary
There was disagreement within the Muslim communal as to who should flourish him after the demise of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The rule of the caliph Abu Bakr (R.A), most of the Muslims ultimately acknowledged this rule and then of the caliph Umar ibn al-Khattab (R.A). Muhammad’s cousin and son-in-law were the well-chosen, there were always those who felt that Hazrat Ali (R.A) and he became the next caliph after Hazrat Usman (R.A) demised. First Islamic Civil War was started during his khalifate. After his killing, the power was ultimately grabbed by his rival Muawiya.

During this time, Hazrat Hussain (R.A) was raised as the personification of the intrinsic worth and abilities impressed by Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and the Quran. After this, Yazid wrote a letter to the Madinah governor to threaten the rival Hazrat Hussain (R.A) with death. On his journey, Hazrat Hussain (R.A) was stopped by a force from Yazid’s military. The Clash of Karbala succeeded, in which Hazrat Hussain (R.A) and all of his army were slain, and his residual family occupied inmate.
The Day of Karbala Battle
The base camp had tired its water provisions and could indicate only between laying down of arms and death on the ninth day of Muharram. But, Hazrat Hussain (R.A) decided to fight and didn’t aim to surrender. The army of his went to the front lines one by one on the next day. He was addressed the opponent crowds. The battle began and the men loyal to Hazrat Hussain one by one laid down their lives.
He ordered the women and children to have huddled in tents and waiting for clash to end. Hazrat Imam Ali that was the son of Hazrat Hussain (R.A) was with them in tents because he was ill to fight. His six-month son Ali Asghar was close to death from lack of water and he was taken to Yazid army, asked for the water but, Harmala ibn Kahil shot an arrow at the baby who expired in the arms of his father.
He buried his baby and came back to the battle. The women and children were encumbered on camels and occupied to Yazid’s court in Damascus through Kufa the next day. They humiliated the women and children. The inmates were detained in Damascus for a year and during which Hussain’s daughter, Hazrat Sakina, is supposed to have passed away due to heartache and mourning. After that, they ordered to release them and return to Madinah. There were 72 victims in the battle of Karbala and due to this reason Shia celebrate the Day of Ashura on the 10th Muharram.
